Scott & Tricia’s Belsaas Estate Wedding

Scott & Tricia’s wedding was a great way to kick start our 2011/2012 wedding season.   We began the day photographing the respective getting ready preparations before heading out to Ardmore to Belsaas Estate.     The grounds of Belsaas are fabulous for photos, so after the bridal party were fed and  watered, we took a few photos in the manicured gardens before heading off the beaten track a bit down the road.   Tricia & Scott were up for anything that was suggested including a grove of trees amongst some waist height grass – they didn’t think twice about jumping in!  (Although we had checked it out first).   Time flew quickly, and before long we were heading back to the reception.  Wedding receptions are always a fun part of our day and we love covering them.  It’s always lovely hearing all of the speeches from friends and family, many of them humourous and many heartfelt and emotional.   Tricia & Scott were also treated to a haka that the boys in the family had put together, completely unbeknown to them.    There wasn’t many dry eyes left after that!

Tricia & Scott – Thank you for inviting us to capture your wedding day.  We had a fun day with you and your bridal party – who all looked fabulous and Tricia you just looked stunning!   Here’s a selection of images from your day to enjoy

Tyler & Brooke – Childrens Portraits

This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to catch up with the Nelson Family again down at their home in Te Kauwhata. It was great to see little Tyler grown up and full of beans and also meet his new sister Brooke, who is just as cute. Other members of the family had also come over, making three/four generations in many of the photos which is great to see! I had a fun morning photographing this gorgeous family and look forward to maybe seeing them again soon! Enjoy this sneak peek!

Paolo & Grace’s Auckland City Engagement Session

We had another fabulous engagement shoot this afternoon – this time catching up with Paolo & Grace in the Winter Gardens at the Auckland Domain.   The late afternoon light is always great at the Winter Gardens, and the wisteria covered brickwork looks beautiful at all times of the year. Paolo & Grace had also brought along a few props to include and mix it up a bit and make the shoot their own.   Grace had also planned her wedding hair & makeup trial to fit in with the engagement session – which is a great idea.

On our way into the Domain – we’d spotted that the cherry grove in the lower domain area was out in full bloom – so before our next location we quickly stopped off (along with many other people) to incorporate the blossoms.  After a quick change, we then headed to St Andrews church on Symonds St. With its big pillars, it’s much like the Auckland Musuem, but with signficantly less people – it was the perfect spot. Paolo & Grace – we had a lot of fun photographing your engagement session & just hanging out for an hour or two. We can’t wait for your beautiful wedding in January!

Scott & Trish’s Spring Engagement Session

We headed off down to Wrights Water Gardens for a catch up with Scott & Trish prior to their wedding in November and to shoot their engagement session.  The gardens have just reopened after being closed for Winter, and they had obviously been hard at work during that time.   It looked quite different to when we were there for weddings just a few months ago.  Everything was looking pruned, and the ponds ready for all the lillies.   We wandered around the bottom of the old quarry, before heading back up near the roadside where we spotted some beautiful big cherry blossom trees, all out in flower.   Scott & Trish – We hope you have a relaxing next few weeks and we can’t wait for your wedding day!  Enjoy

Ryan & Coralie – Childrens Portraits

I headed out to Omana Park this morning for a lovely family session with the Walton Family. Ryan & Coralie were the cutest kids, busying themselves with the beach life – shells, rocks and trees. We got lucky with the weather – it started off beautiful and sunny and just started to rain lightly as we finished up. Enjoy this sneak peek!
