Jamie & Kate’s Wedding at The Wharf

On a scorching hot summers day, Jamie & Kate were married in a gorgeous ceremony at St Mary’s-in-Holy Trinity, Parnell.  Its such a beautiful church, the detail inside is amazing!   Kate arrived in true fashion in a huge hummerzine, big enough for their entire bridal party and some!  Both Jamie & Kate’s parents travelled with us for photos, and with Kate’s parents travelling all the way from Russia, they got a bit of a tiki tour on the way.  We started off stopping traffic outside the museum, but a few minutes in the sun was enough before we retreated to the Winter Gardens for a bit of shade.   A couple of other bridal parties had the same idea, and I’m sure we were the loudest.  Totally a sign of having fun I say! =)

We headed up to Bastion point briefly afterwards before heading back to Jamie & Kate’s wedding reception at the gorgeous The Wharf.  Such an amazing reception venue, with 180 degree views of Auckland Harbour.   The party went long into the night, with friends and family from Russia – they definately know how to party.  There was games throughout the evening for guests entertainment and a Russian buffet served later in the evening.   Some of our final shots of the evening were taking in the amazing sunset and night view of the harbour bridge.  There’s not too many spots that can give you that kind of view on your wedding night!

Jamie & Kate – thank you for being amazing and for allowing us to capture your day.   We had a huge amount of fun, I’m quite sure we’ve never laughed so much on a photoshoot until now.    You both looked fabulous along with your bridal party and we wish you all the best for your new life together.   Here’s a few of our favourites – a few more than the norm as we had so much to share! Speeches are always fun.   During all of the speeches, Kate’s bridesmaid Elena translated them all into Russian for Kate’s mum and dad.   Pretty cool!!
